About KP Walsh
KPWalsh Associates, Inc., was founded by Kevin Walsh in the summer of 2010. After 35 years in different roles for a highly regarded woodworking machinery dealer and importer, Kevin fulfilled a dream and established his own business, working out of a home office and with rented warehouse space. The timing couldn’t have been worse as the economy soon went into recession. But, Kevin was determined to meet his goals and forged ahead. Liquidation played a major role during his first two years in business. At the same time, a relationship was formed with Biesse. This created a foundation that helped build a strong presence in the marketplace. The partnership between KPWalsh and Biesse continues today.
Shortly after establishing KPWalsh, the machine dealer and importer that Kevin previously worked for closed their doors, and several manufacturers contacted Kevin to explore the potential for collaboration. At the same time, Patty Colpo, a longtime associate with inside sales and coordination experience, became Walsh’s first and most valuable employee.
As the economy crawled back to life in 2012, KPWalsh began expanding. Space was acquired in West Chester, PA., where the company established offices, showroom space, a demonstration area and storage for new and used machinery. This location now serves as the KPWalsh headquarters.
Our mission is to find the right machinery solution for each customer, and to make our customer’s job easier, with less labor and more profit. KPWalsh works with manufacturers who share that philosophy. We represent companies who are committed to helping the customer get the right machine for the job, have reliable service and support in place, and who support KPWalsh as their dealer. The partnership between the manufacturer, KPWalsh and the customer is essential for achieving mutual success.
To strengthen our ability to fulfill our mission, KPWalsh has welcomed Pete McKee, full-time service technicians to our staff. Pete is broadly experienced and will be a true asset in supporting our customers and supplementing the manufacturer’s team. We are confident we as a team will be able to service our customers with any technical support. We also have Chris Sauer, a full-time sales representative, on the KPWalsh staff. Chris will provide service and support to customers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area.
